Lounge Corp Grand Prix

Lounge Corp Grand Prix 2023 at Hafnarhús from 2 pm, August 26th, 2023

Lounge Corp, OPEN and the Reykjavík Art Museum, welcome you to the Lounge Corp Grand Prix 2023, a thrilling race of moving sculptures. 

Competing for the title “Lounge Corp Grand Prix Champion 2023“ are twelve artists from Iceland and Norway; Anna Hrund Másdóttir (IS), Guðlaug Mía Eyþórsdóttir (IS), Ingrid Forland (NO), Logi Leó Gunnarsson (IS), Agatha Wara (NO), Páll Haukur (IS), Sandra Vaka (NO), Siri Borge (NO), Sólbjört Vera Ómarsdóttir (IS), Steinunn Önnudóttir (IS), Tor Erik Bøe (NO) and Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg (NO).

This year the Lounge Corp Grand Prix will be hosted by Ólafur Ásgeirsson and the musical direction is in the hands of Rollin Hunt.

Each artist will be present, and operate their competing sculpture.

Light refreshments.

The event will end with an award ceremony, and the audience is invited to vote for their
competition favorite.

This event is made possible with the support of the Norwegian Visual Artists Fund and Arts and Culture Norway.

PSYCHIC JACUZZI INSTAGRAM TAKEOVER

We are taking over the Psychic Jacuzzi instagram account from Feb 26. - Mar 4.  For this occasion we curated a special "jacuzzi specific" exhibition that will only be available through instagram and includes work by: 

Alison Kuo, Shoplifter, Aya Rodriguez-Izumi, Eric Lawton, WIFE, Ragnheidur Karadottir, Kaja Cxzy Andersen, Scott Ferguson, Chris Palazzo, KC Tidemand, Zoe Frederick, Dominique Palladino.

THINGY

Just shipped off a pice to be part of Thingy ; - an exhibition at Moisturizer Gallery , opening on Feb 16. We are super excited to see how it turnes out! :)

Lounge Corp. at Satellite Art Show

We are returning to Miami and Satellite Art Show. This time to launch our new fish tank gallery space. We are super excited and we hope you will join us at the Ocean Terrace Hotel at Miami's North Beach! :) :)

OPEN CALL

Lounge Corp. is happy to announce its latest endeavor – a series of shows ~under water~ .

We are inviting artists to propose work to be considered for shows at our new underwater space (it’s a fish tank).

Please keep in mind that all pieces must fit into the format of a fish tank, regarding size restrictions (ca 36x15x20 in.) and the water element etc.

We highly encourage shows/pieces/concepts that play with and/or challenge the limitations of being under water. ( eg. gravity, motion, light, bubbles….)

Most of the shows will take place in New York, but we also wish to travel with the concept.
